I'm an avid reader, especially of darker fantasy and science-fiction stories. Give me a story with an interesting take on the Fae, or a new twist on the vampire mythos, or even a spectacular battle and I'll happily sit and devour it. The same can be said of courtly intrigue, high fantasy, supernatural urban fiction, and stories loosely tied to history. I'll actually read pretty much anything, so long as it's got a good story and an enjoyable cast, but those are my favorites.
I'm also an ecclectic music fan. I'll listen to just about anything and I'm a big fan of blues, classical, instrumental soundtracks as well as odds and ends that not many people have heard of. As long as it's got a good beat and doesn't annoy me, you'll find it on my MP3 player.
Japanese culture interests me a great deal and I'm hoping to visit Japan one day. I'm also hoping to visit New Orleans at some point. I'm a consumate comic book geek, and have far too many collected both in boxes under my bed and stored in my bookmarks online. I'm also a novice belly dancer and have performed several times in and around Plymouth.
